Welcome to students from 4 prestigious American universities as part of the international programmes organised by the CSLM

The Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation welcomes more than fifty students from four US universities, William & Mary, University of Southern Mississippi, Villanova University and University of South Carolina, who began their academic stays at the University of Cadiz this Monday through the international programmes organised by the Centro Superior de Lenguas Modernas (CSLM).

The welcoming ceremony was given by the General Director of Language Policy of the UCA, Leonor Acosta, accompanied by the coordinator of the CSLM, María Fernández, and the professors responsible for the programmes in the United States, Francie Cate-Arries, Christopher Miles, Laura Lenardón and Paul Malovrh.

The academic programmes will be held on the Cadiz Campus, both in the Faculty of Medicine, which will host the students from William & Mary, Southern Mississippi and South Carolina, and in the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences, where the students from Villanova will spend their stay.

These linguistic and cultural immersion programmes are complemented by a wide range of extracurricular activities, such as cooking and flamenco workshops, educational visits and excursions.

The Villanova University summer programme is the oldest of the programmes and this year marks 36 years since its first visit to the University of Cadiz.
