Contingency Plan
Face-to-face classes at the University of Cádiz (UCA) may be cancelled if the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) or the Regional Government of Andalusia issues a red alert due to rain or extreme weather conditions in the areas where its campuses are located.
Should there be a cancellation of scheduled teaching, this will directly affect the face-to-face courses at the University School of Modern Languages.
During the alert, courses will switch to synchronous online delivery, whilst adhering to the scheduled timetables and programme.
Procedure:
- Students will be notified as soon as the alert level is activated via email on the UCA Virtual Campus platform.
- Google Meet links will be activated on the platform to enable students to follow classes.
- Face-to-face sessions will be replaced by synchronous classes at the usual times.
Assessment and Examinations
Where necessary, examinations will be adapted by converting face-to-face assessments (written or oral exams) into formats that can be assessed online via the UCA Virtual Campus.
