UCA welcomes 10 students from Mississippi as part of CSLM’s international programmes 9 September 2024
A dozen students from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) in the United States are beginning their academic stay at the University of Cadiz during the first semester, as part of the international programmes organised by the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation through its University School of Modern Languages (CSLM).
The welcoming ceremony was held in the Faculty of Medicine’s Salón de Grados with the presence of the General Director for Language Policy and the CSLM, Jesús Bolaño, accompanied by the centre’s coordinator, María Fernández, and the person in charge of the programme in Mississippi, Carmen Carracelas.
This programme began in 2015 with the summer courses organised by the CSLM and was extended the following year with the creation of a biannual programme. Since then, institutional relations between the two universities have been constant and the UCA has received several delegations from the American university on different occasions. The last one, in 2022, culminated in the signing of a specific exchange and mobility agreement in 2023.
