Presentation of diplomas to the participants of the ‘Summer training programme for Spanish teachers’. 25 July 2024

Presentation of diplomas to the participants of the ‘Summer training programme for Spanish teachers’.

The University of Cadiz (UCA) has celebrated the closing ceremony of the ‘Summer Training Programme for Teachers of Spanish’, organised by the Centro Superior de Lenguas Modernas (CSLM) in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Spanish Embassy in the USA. The Vice-Rector for Internationalisation, Marcela Iglesias, together with the Director General for Language Policy, Jesús Bolaño, presided over the diploma-giving ceremony, which took place in the Patio de las Naciones.

The academic programme, which took place over three weeks, was described as a ‘resounding success’ by the participants. The teachers highlighted the value of the content taught and the relevance of the new ideas and teaching resources acquired during their stay. They also highlighted the attractiveness of training in a city with such a long history as Cádiz, as well as the opportunity to enjoy its climate, beaches and wide range of tourist and cultural offerings.

The closing of the programme not only marked the end of an enriching training experience, but also the strengthening of ties between the UCA and the American educational community, underlining the university’s commitment to internationalisation and excellence in the teaching of Spanish.
