Austrian students are taking part in a new international programme run by the CSLM at the University of Cadiz 24 March 2026
A total of 22 students from the Fachhochschule des BFI Wien (Austria) are taking part this week in an academic exchange at the University of Cadiz, as part of the international programmes organised by the University School of Modern Languages (CSLM), which forms part of the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation.
The programme, which has been running since 2022, has a strong academic focus, centred on the development of students’ language skills, and takes place at the Faculty of Medicine. To complement this training, the programme includes visits and numerous practical activities around the city, which help to enrich this socio-cultural immersion experience.
In this context, tomorrow, Wednesday 24 March, a session of InterUCAmbios will be held, the programme promoted by the CSLM in conjunction with the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation and the General Directorate for Language Policy. The event will take place from 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm in the Constitución de 1812 Building and will bring together Austrian and local students in a space for interaction that fosters communication and mutual enrichment.
The welcome event was hosted by the General Director for Language Policy and the CSLM, Leonor Acosta, alongside the head of international programmes and centre coordinator, María Fernández, and the programme coordinator in Vienna, Itziar Grau.
The CSLM will continue to roll out its programme of international initiatives over the coming months. From May onwards, new groups are expected to arrive, mostly from US universities, and in July a programme from the Chinese University of Hong Kong will also join, with students undertaking their academic placements at the University of Cádiz.
The continuation of these programmes consolidates the University of Cádiz’s international standing and reinforces its role as a hub for academic and cultural exchange.
