Welcome to students from 4 prestigious American universities as part of the international programmes organised by the CSLM 28 May 2024
The Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation welcomes fifty students from four US universities, The College of William & Mary, University of Southern Mississippi, Villanova University and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, who began their academic stays at the University of Cadiz this Monday through the international programmes organised by the University School of Modern Languages (CSLM).
The welcoming ceremony was given by the General Director for Language Policy of the UCA, Jesús Bolaño, accompanied by the coordinator of the CSLM, María Fernández, and the professors responsible for the programmes in the United States, John Riofrío, Cynthia Baertich and Laura Lenardón.
The academic programmes will be held at both the Cadiz Campus and the Puerto Real Campus, in three different centres: the Faculty of Medicine will host the students from William & Mary and Southern Mississippi, the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences, where the students from Villanova will spend their stay, and the Faculty of Science, which will host a more intensive Spanish programme, organised specifically for researchers from Chattanooga.
Villanova University’s summer programme is the oldest and this year celebrates 35 years of trusting the University of Cadiz to train its students in Spanish.
