The University of Cadiz, through its University Svhool of Moderna Languages, is hosting this week an intensive programme of Spanish as a Foreign Language for more than twenty Austrian students from the Fachhochschule des BFI Wien.
The stay, which includes a wide range of excursions and extracurricular activities as part of the academic programme, will take place at the Faculty of Medicine, where a welcoming ceremony was held this morning by the General Director for Language Policy, Jesús Bolaño, and the CSLM Coordinator, María Fernández, accompanied by Itziar Grau and Inmaculada Uclés, who are responsible for the programme in Vienna.
With the launch of this programme, both institutions consolidate their relationship, which began in September 2022 with a first visit by Austrian students. Throughout these years, they have carried out joint activities and collaborations, such as the project “Tapitas para todos los gustos, intercambio lingüístico y cultural en alemán y español entre la Universidad de Cádiz y la Fachhochschule des BFI Wien”, presented during the IV Jornadas de Español para Fines Específicos in Vienna in May 2023. This project is nominated for several awards for quality and teaching innovation, including Ars Docendi in its 2024 edition.
